GENERAL DESCRIPTION
1-component liquid moisture barrier for protection against the ascent of residual construction moisture in newly cast and existing concrete subfloors. The product cannot be used to protect against permanent exposure to moisture.
On cement-based subfloors, anhydrite and fibre gypsum flooring elements the product can also be used to ensure adequate adhesion between the subfloor and the adhesive.
The moisture barrier is applied to the subfloor immediately before the floorboards are glued down.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Product: SMP-based.

TECHNICAL DATA
Coverage: Approx. 250 g/m².
Before application: Shake the canister thoroughly before use.
Open time at 50 % RH and 20 °C: 20-30 minutes.
Drying time:
Before recoating: 1-2 hours.
Before gluing: Minimum 24 hours.
Drying time depends on room temperature, relative humidity and the residual moisture of the subfloor.
Substrate temperature: 15-25 °C.
Room temperature: 15-25 °C.
Relative humidity (RH): 30-80 %.
Application tool: 11-12 mm fibre roll.
Cleaning of tools: Dispose of fibre roll after use.
Storage: In unopened packaging, shelf life is minimum 12 months. Store in a cool and frost-free place, minimum 5 °C.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
The substrate must be permanently dry, free of grease, dust and loose particles. Any cement slurry must be sanded off. Vacuum the surface before applying the moisture barrier.
The best result is achieved when the floor is level. A rough surface will require additional coats to achieve sufficient protection against moisture. For optimal utilisation of the product, any cracks should be filled before use. If it is necessary to use levelling compounds, this should always be done before applying the moisture barrier.
The residual moisture in the subfloor must not exceed 85 % RH.
- Application is best done in two coats with approximately 50 % in each layer.
- Apply the first coat with 100-150 g/m² and let dry for 1-2 hours.
- Apply the second coat with approx. 100-150 g/m² perpendicular to the first coat.
- Do not exceed 24 hours before applying the second coat.
- Completed layer thickness must be a minimum of 250 g/m².
- Leave to dry for at least 24 hours before gluing with Junckers Parquet Glue.
- The moisture barrier must be completely dry before floor installation begins.
