GENERAL DESCRIPTION
- Fast-drying, solvent-based primer.
- For use on untreated or machine-sanded wooden floors in residential, commercial and sports halls.
- Protective overcoating with one of Junckers' water-based floor lacquers must be applied after priming.
Adds a deep glow to the floor and is suitable for wooden floors in the following situations:
- When a water-based primer cannot be used due to poor adhesion, such as tropical and oily woods.
- When renovating dark woods and patterned floors where it can be difficult to achieve a uniform look.
- When there are challenges with sugar extraction on maple floors or tannic acid on oak floors.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Product: Priming lacquer based on alcohol-solvent.
Package sizes: 5 litres.
Appearance: Colourless when dry.
TECHNICAL DATA
Coverage: 10 m² per litre.
Before application: Shake/stir well before use.
Application tools: Brush or short-pile roller. Don’t apply by pouring out the lacquer directly onto the floor.
Substrate temperature: Minimum 15 °C.
Dilution: Not recommended.
Drying time at 20 °C and 50 % RH: 30-60 minutes.
Cleaning of tools: Methylated spirits.
Storage: Lasts for 2 years if unopened and stored at 20 °C. Once opened the lacquer will start to form a skin and may harden in the can.
SYSTEM RECOMMENDATIONS
1 coat of SB Primer, 10 m²/litrer + 2 coats of a floor lacquer. Choose according to expected wear of the floor.
High traffic areas: Finish with 2 coats of MT500 Floor Lacquer or HT700 Floor Lacquer 10 m²/litre.
Low traffic areas: Finish with 2 coats of MT200 Floor Lacquer 10 m²/litre.
Sport areas: Finish with 2 coats of HP800 Sport 10-12 m²/litre.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Untreated/sanded floors:
Ensure that the surface is absolutely clean, dry and free from dust, wax, grease, polish etc. Sand the surface to remove dirt and irregularities. The final sanding should be carried out by using sandpaper grit 120-150. Vacuum thoroughly and wipe off with a cloth well wrung in clean water.
- Prime with one coat of SB Primer and leave to dry.
- Sand with sandpaper grit 150-180 along the fibres of the wood.
- Vacuum sanding dust and wipe off with a cloth well wrung in clean water.
- Finish with 2 coats of one of Junckers' water-based floor lacquers.
Previously sealed floors:
- Machine sand the floor by using sandpaper grit 24-36 to strip old coats.
- Then remove abrasion marks with grit 60-80.
- Proceed as described under “Untreated/sanded floors”.
